Friday, February 24th, 2016 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, The kindergarten student of the month is Mason G! Mason is a socially aware student who is respectful and kind to everyone. He is a responsible scholar who works hard to give his best every day. Mason is always looking out for his fellow kinder-buddies by insuring they are well cared for and on track. I can always depend on Mason to clean up after himself. Mason even goes the extra mile by helping classmates clean up their messes too. He comes to school every day ready to learn and is committed to being a stellar friend to all. Keep up the good work! Our kindergarten classroom is in need of some supplies! For the safety of our children everything in the classroom must be fire resistant. Our classroom should be a cozy and welcoming environment. The cupboard coverings help students stay focused at the task at hand so the students would not be distracted by the toys and games in the cupboards. Receive ONE SERVICE HOUR for each 25 DOLLARS spent please donate to our classroom. All items must have labels that say “fire resistant”. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! *fire resistant area rugs *fire resistant throw pillows *fire resistant curtains *fire resistant blinds Blessings, Ms. Sanders

Friday, February 17th, 2016 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, What a wonderful week in kindergarten! Your super scholars had so much fun leaving their heartprints with friends in our community in honor of Valentine’s day. “A heartprint is formed when you do something kind. Your love touches others...leaving heartprints behind!” (Hallinan, P. K. Heartprints. Nashville, TN: Worthy Kids/Ideals, 2015. Print.) A huge thank you to the room moms for the very lively nacho Valentine's dance party. We appreciate everyone who attended and lent a helping hand at the party. The students loved decorating their Valentine bags and showing off their moves on the dance floor! Ms. Sarah and I thank you all for the Valentine's gifts we received. The chocolates, cards, bears, and treats really made us feel special and loved. For the safety of our children everything in the classroom must be fire resistant. Sadly, the fire marshall required us to remove our pillows, rugs, and cupboard coverings. Now our classroom is not as cozy and welcoming an environment as I would like it to be. The cupboard coverings help students stay focused at the task at hand so the students would not be distracted by the toys and games in the cupboards. If you would like to leave your heart print and receive one service hour for each 25 dollars spent please donate fire resistant rugs, pillows, blinds, and curtains. All items must have labels that say “fire resistant”. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Enjoy the long weekend! Blessings, Nicole Sanders Friday, February 10th, 2017
Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, With the rainy weather our scholars are cooped up inside all day and sometimes this causes antsy, silly, and ruckus kinders! Please be mindful of this and be extra patient with your child. Families should be spending lots of time with their superstar doing indoor activities to keep their attention and make sure they get plenty of rest every day so they are ready to come to school to learn. Our lovely room moms are hosting our class Valentine’s day party this upcoming Tuesday, February 14th from 10:15am-Noon. (Minimum day, noon dismissal) All families are invited to come and share in the festivities! Valentines are optional, but if your kinder would like to make cards for their classmates, make sure they have one for each student. If you are planning to send Valentine goodies or cards with your child, please note there are 10 boys and 10 girls in kindergarten. We are looking forward to a fun-filled day! Your student is welcomed to wear valentine’s day colored FREE DRESS on this special day! (Red, pink, purple, white) Enjoy your weekend! Blessings, Ms. Sanders Friday, February 3rd, 2016 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, Catholic Schools Week was so much fun. The kindergarten class did great with participating in the dress up days and cheering their classmates on during the various events. It was fantastic to see so much shamrock pride. The long awaited 100th day was a wonderful success. It was so much fun seeing all of our students’ creative projects that they worked so hard to create. It was definitely a day to remember! We made a class 100th day necklace and books. The students created 100 day crowns, sorted 100 objects, made patterns with 100, and compared/contrasted different groups of 100. It is so amazing to see how much these kinders have grown as learners in just 100 days. The student of the week is Eliza V. for being very friendly and generous to everyone. She is helpful, follows the rules, and listens to her teachers. Thank you Eliza! I am looking forward to another productive and enjoyable upcoming week with your superstars. Make sure your scholar is reading every night for at least 20 minutes and gets a good night's rest, it really makes a difference. I have posted the photos from Catholic schools week and the 100th day of school on the class website www.mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com Enjoy your weekend Blessings, Ms. Sanders |
