Friday, December 16th, 2016 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, This week we welcomed our new student Isaiah A. to our kinder community. Please make sure you make his family feel at home when you see them! The student of the week is Grace M. for following directions quickly. She also expressed a ton of enthusiasm while practicing for the Christmas concert. Our Christmas Program is this upcoming Monday, December 19th at 6:00PM and all families are invited to attend. Remember formal Christmas attire must be worn by students at the Christmas program. Boys can wear dress slacks and nice shirts (preferably button ups) Girls can wear dresses/skirts or nice pants. No sneakers or jeans can be worn to the event. On Tuesday, December 20th from 10:15 am-Noon, our fantastic room moms are hosting our class Christmas party. Family and friends are invited to join us in making holiday crafts, sharing treats and goodies, and spending time together. All students are invited to wear red tops and jeans to school on Tuesday and encouraged to bring something to share. I am looking forward to seeing you and your families at all of the upcoming Christmas events. I pray you and your families have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Blessings, Ms. Sanders

Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, This Sunday December 11th to further improve the parish and school relationship, our class along with the 8th grade class will actively participate in the children's mass. Each family is invited to come! Students will arrive at 9:00 in full school uniform, and sit in the choir area of the church. The students will participate by singing hymns that they have learned earlier this week. St. John’s Christmas Program is on December 19th at 6:00 and all families are invited to attend. Please make sure your kinder is practicing our class song "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and the school song is "Go Tell It On the Mountain." Ms. Tripp is asking for formal Christmas attire to be worn by students at the Christmas program -- dress slacks and nice shirts (preferably button ups) for the boys, and dresses/skirts or nice pants for the girls. She also is specifically requesting that no sneakers or jeans be worn to the event. Christmas is just around the corner and your young scholars are feeling the the holiday joy! We are having a Christmas party on December 20th from 10:15 am-Noon, hosted by our wonderful room moms and we would love for families to join us. The perfect time for your student to give their friends Christmas goodies and share holiday treats would be during the Christmas party. Please check your email from our room moms to RSVP to our Christmas Party. The kindergarten classroom needs supplies. If you are still in need of service hours all you need to do is donate $25 worth of supplies and that's one service hour out of the way! Please check out the kinder wish list that I have emailed to each family. (http://a.co/dFwjPXw) If you did not receive an email please contact me. Blessings, Ms. Sanders Dear Families,
A HUGE thank you to all of the families who have generously donated play doh supplies to our classroom. The students had so much fun and really got to work out their fingers/fine motor skills. Check out our class website, www.mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com for photos. We are in need of some classroom supplies. Just a friendly reminder that a $25 classroom donation equals one hour of service hours. Please check out our classroom wish list attached. Make sure your student is dressed in layers everyday as it's getting colder and colder. Check your student's tags for their names and if you have another kindergarten friend’s jacket please return it to school. This Sunday, December 4th, there will be Santa Pictures and Pancake Breakfast starting at 8:30am to 12:30pm in the gym. If your scholar goes to Sunday morning mass in their uniform AND pancake breakfast with Santa they will be rewarded with FREE DRESS on Monday, 12/5. Next Sunday, December 11th at 9:30am, the kindergarten class will be actively participating in the children's mass with the 8th grade class. To further improve the parish and school relationship, especially the parish-school connection for our students, each class will be asked to participate in a weekend family mass this school year. You and your families are invited to attend this liturgy together. The students are to attend mass in full school uniform, and sit in the choir area of the church. You are asked to arrive by 9:10 a.m. The students will participate by singing a hymn that Ms. Helena, the parish’s music director, will practice with them. Blessings, Ms. Sanders |
