Dear Families,
Thank you families for coming to the spring concert last night, your scholars sang so beautifully! On Tuesday all students will be given free dress. The student of the month is Alayah B. I am so impressed by how much Alayah has learned and grown this year in kindergarten. She is reading fluently, writing neatly, and counting effortlessly! Alayah is a loving, confident, and caring scholar who is willing to go the extra mile to do well in school. Keep up the good work Alayah! Congratulations to our kindergarten students! They won second place at the Diocese of Oakland Young Authors Fair for their “If You Give a Kindergartener a Dollar” book. Hard work really does pay off! If your family is in need of a couple more service hours I have a graduation related activity that can use some assistance with. Please email me if you are interested! Our walking field trip to Meek Estate Park is next Thursday, June 1st. Please make sure your money is turned in as soon as possible. Thanks to all of the parents who volunteered their time to chaperone on our picnic, it is going to be a fun trip. Reminder there is no school on Monday. Enjoy your long weekend! Blessings, Ms. Sanders

Thursday, May 18th, 2017 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, If you have noticed some ants in the pants from a super excited kinder lately it’s because “We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you? You can come too, too, too. We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo”-Raffi: Going To The Zoo. Thanks in advance to all of the parents who will volunteer their time to drive and chaperone. We are going to have a ball tomorrow! Please remind your scholar to bring: -a booster seat -a water bottle -a bag lunch -St. John green uniform top, free dress bottoms, and comfy shoes Your superstars were the ultimate scientists this week! They studied different animals that we are looking forward to seeing at the zoo. The stellar scholars learned about soil and had a special guest speaker, Mrs. Hoffman, help with an experiment with different kinds of dirt from various places while practicing their comparing and contrasting skills. They even made a robot inspired invention to showcase at the St. John invention convention! (presented on Thursday, 05-18 at 6pm) Check the website over the weekend to see photos of our zoo trip, invention, and multicultural dolls!
